Plot Synopsis:
Kieran is making dinner in the kitchen while Madalene is painting her nails. Kieran cuts his finger and drops knife onto the floor, sparking a reaction from Madalene. In her fury, Madalene spills her nail polish on the table and blames Kieran for it, and continues her rave at Kieran. In his frustration, Kieran interrupts her and calmly invites her for a walk. The pair walk through the paddock outside their house, barely saying anything, but screaming in their thoughts. Kieran, convincing himself he has had enough of Madalene’s abuse, pushes her onto the ground; now him turning into a villain, and staring down at her with evil intent. The scene then flashes back to multiple fast clips of the couple's recent interaction in the house, revealing to the viewer that Kieran is upset about what just happened. The shots quickly flash until the final shot of Kieran slamming a knife down onto a chopping board, revealing his frustration and symbolically his “dark side.” The scene then ends on Kieran reaching down Madalene, leaving the viewer with a flood of questions, including “is Kieran going to harm Madalene?.”
Characters:
Madalene:
Name meaning- “bitter”
Costume- burgundy shirt with black jeans and black jacket, brought together with black boots.
Kieran:
Name meaning- “dark”
Costume- grey shirt, black jeans, glasses, puffer jacket, black boots.

Costume Symbolism:
We chose these costumes because of the colour symbolism. Grey symbolises the putting on of a mask and truth being covered as it's not "black and white." Black symbolises darkness and something being hidden. In Madalene's costume, the red symbolises danger and blood. This significant because it forewarns the viewer that danger is soon to be arriving, and that it will be inflicted on her as she is the one wearing red.
Also, in Kierans' costume, the glasses represent a mask, and forewarning the viewer that Kieran isn't what he is made out to be.
